turnout sleeper

The “long-line” method certainly represents the most economical way to produce turnout sleepers. To minimize set-up time we cast the sleepers by means of a continuous beam. All embedded parts of the used fastening are precisely orientated at the bottom plates according to the specific coordinates of each sleeper. The bottom plates are laying in line separated by special steel bars which also define the cutting positions. After de-moulding the beam is cut at the defined positions. The beam shown is equipped with 16 tendons diameter 6,5mm. The applied tensioning force is 700 kN. The tendons’ orientation is variable and can be adjusted according the needs of embedded parts.
