The foundations for highly innovative sleeper concepts and their economic production were laid in the beginnings of the Dyckerhoff & Widmann group of companies.

P-TEC now maintains this tradition, and continues to develop these systems. Today, we have a respected name. Trend-setting technology, progressive thinking, and pronounced customer-orientation stand behind the name P-TEC.

1963 Worldwide implementation of new plants for standard sleepers
1972 Construction of a test track within the scope of a development contract from the Deutsche Bundesbahn for
evaluating a ballastless high-speed track (slab track) for speeds up to 350 km/h.

1981 Development contract from the Deutsche Bundesbahn for a system for prestressed concrete turnout sleepers.

1983 Delivery of the first manufacturing plant for the economic production of prestressed concrete turnout sleepers
1986 Mechanized production of the “Rheda System” slab tracks for the new high-speed tracks of the Deutsche Bundesbahn

2002 Founding of the company
P-TEC International GmbH, which takes over the entire business activity of the DSI Sleeper Division in a “spin-off”,and expands it continuously.
